Danny's Story
Life
I have a wife and two beautiful daughters (11 & 12 years old). I have two dogs and own a home in Northern New York. I have to brag...my daughters are extremely good Soccer and Lacrosse players!!
College
I am pursuing my Masters Degree in Management (I changed from the MBA degree plan) through Liberty University. I graduated with my Bachelors in Human Services from Wayland Baptist University.
Workplace
As most of my classmates know, I joined the Army after High School and became a Combat Medic. About 7-8 years in, I decided to go to nursing school (but have worked as a combat medic since graduating!!). I have been to many places in this world and met some very interesting people from all over. um, NY. In that position I served 15 months in Afghanistan. I deployed to Iraq as the 10th Mountain Division Surgeon Sergeant Major fairly soon after returning from Afghanistan. I left in Apr 08 but was fortunate enough to return early in Aug 08. I now run the 10th Mountain Division's Medical Simulation Training Center where we teach military medical professionals and para-professionals cutting edge tactics and treatments to save lives on the battlefield. I will be retiring from the Army in approx. Jun 08 with a little over 21 years of service.
Military
I have had the opportunity to travel the world. Some places have been like paradise, and others, well.....weren't! I loved living in Hawaii for three years, but to my surprise I truly love it here in the North country of New York. I've never been anywhere that gets as cold as it does here (I have been out in a tent in the field at -37 degrees!!).
