Amanda's Story
Life
I am now a married woman. My married name is Tibbetts. I tied the knot island style on March 31, 2007 in Negril Jamaica to a wonderful man named Sean. I work as a special education teacher at Lafayette High School in Lexington. Sean works in the IT industry. We have two dogs, Bear and Sophie. No kids right now and probably not for a while. Married life is very nice so far!
College
I went to college at the University of Kentucky, like most graduates of Ballard it seems. At some points it almost seemed ...Expand for more
like a mini-reunion. It took me five and a half years to be come an elementary teacher with a specialization in special education. I love the amount of flexibility in my job now and looking back, it was a very good choice to tag on the extra year and a half it took to get the specialization. I have taught at all levels now and have decided that middle school is not for the faint of heart. Teaching is a blessing though! I couldn't imagine doing something else.
