My Spouse
My Cinderella story: Tom and I met in Atlanta just after our practice marriages ended. We didn't date then, just flirted around with each other. He was transferred to Florida and we lost touch until I made a business trip to FL and called to say hello. He invited me back for a weekend. I made the trip in June and we were married in September of 1991.
My Kids
Thea is my daughter from Tom's practice marriage. She is 26 and a 6th grade teacher in Conyers. She is a great young lady. Taylor is my daughter, 12 going on 17! She looks more and more like me every day. That may or may not be a good thing. Thomas is my 11 year old spit fire. He is a trip, you never know what is going to happen next. They attend Westminster (a Christian school) and are growing stronger in their faith every day. The whole family has motorcycles and quads. We get out to ride them as often as we can. essions and has won several events in Wellington on her horse Mystic River. Thomas has become quite a fisherman and is on the boat with Tom every time it goes out and now he is also diver certified.
Me
I worked for C&S Bank for 15 years before Tom and I got married. In 1993 we opened a trucking company -Palm Express- with 5 drivers. Today we have 75 tractor trailers and 140 or so associates. Just in time for my 40th birthday I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Went through lumpectomy, chemo, and radiation. What a way to celebrate! I am fine now. Tom's latest hobby is car racing. He races in the Southeast division of the SCCA. His car is a Mustang in the AS class. This year he is racing for Team Steeda and we travel to Road Atlanta, Daytona, Virginia, Ohio, and Sebring. He has won the SE division for the past two years. You can check him out on the Steeda website. We are having a lot of fun with the racing. God has richly blessed my life.
