Sara's Story
Life
My life is almost exactly how I pictured it with a little more chaos mixed in than I anticipated. I'm a stay-at-home mom of three, ages 5 and under, barely holding on to my sanity.
I graduated from Southwest Texas in 1999 and went straight to work as a copy editor and designer in Corpus Christi. After I got married to my "high school sweetheart" (It counts even though we started dated in the last two months of my senior year, right?), I moved to Fort Worth and worked for the paper there. Nights and weekends drove me crazy especially after our daughter was born. So when the opportunity came up to move to Florida for a promising job for my husband and a chance for me to be just a mom, we jumped on it. I love living near the ocean. Our son followed about year after we moved, and our youngest daughter arrived last year. I'm entering a new phase as our eldest is now a Kindergartner. I love watching her get excited about all the things she is learning. Our son is definitely the ham of the family but also so kind and loving. Our baby girl is doted on by everyone partly because she is the youngest but also because she is so sweet and even-tempered. I don't know why we got so blessed.
As for me, I still love to read when I find the time; I love to cook; I love to be creative in anyway I can (yes, I am a scrapbooker); music is still important to me although I have definitely broadened my interests; the beach, the pool, anywhere with water is a favorite place to be; I love my kids; I love my husband; Life is good.
