Kelly's Story
I've been married since 1981. We have two children.
I have never lived outside of the Phoenix area. My husband is from Oklahoma, so we visited there every summer.
Our favorite dog is the Doberman, and we have owned three. We have one cat, Bisbee, named after the town my grandmother moved to in 1912.
I'm a founding member of the Wallace and Ladmo Fan club. My family got to be on the show five times in 1989, including the 35th anniversary show, where we sat next to Alice Cooper.
Something people didn't know in high school. I saw Steve Martin in early 1976 at The Boarding House in San Francisco, and got to do a bit with him. This was included in the Rolling Stone article about him the following year. He signed my playbill, "Kelly, Thanks for 'You Know What', Steve"
I've been fortunate to meet many interesting people. My daughter had a crush on George Clooney, so I got a meeting for her.
My cousin, Ken Scarborough, is an emmy winning writer. Many of your kids grew up on Doug and Arthur cartoo...Expand for more
ns. But, he was also a writer for Saturday Night Live. In 2003, my sister and flew to NYC and he got us tickets to see the show with Matthew McConoughey and the Dixie Chicks. Then, we accompanied him to the afterparty. We joined a table with the sweet Jimmy Fallon and Horatio Sanz. Behind us, were Chris Parnell and Chris Kattan. So MUCH fun...thank you cuz.
I'm glad I had those fun experiences, because with all those come the hard times. I've been caring for my daughter as she struggles with Lyme Disease. I am also the only sibling in town to help my parents as they grow older and more disabled.
I work part time as a crossing guard and office assistant at the grade school. I share Arbonne skin and health care with anyone who will listen, because I think it's the BEST.
I'm grateful for my husband who supports us all and asks for nothing in return.
No...I didn't become famous, but life is more than that, isn't it? If I can affect generations by serving my family, then that makes me famous.
