Life
Life has been good to me! I attended college 1 year in Joplin and then returned to Emporia to start a career in computers. First as a keypunch operator, then computer operator, then programming and finally Director of the Computer Department for the City of Emporia for 21 years. cusp of the Flint Hills and in the spring of 2002 we started building our dream home. In March 2003 David, a computer analyst, retired to become a fulltime gentleman farmer and I quit to (pester) be with him. Even though we don't have livestock and rent the tillable land, we still keep very busy! David's daughter and family live in Columbus, Ohio and we drive 2 or 3 times a year to see them.
