Beth's Story
Life
After high school, I attended FSU for 3 years before returning to Daytona in 1980. There I met my husband, and we were married in April 1982, and I moved to Amsterdam, Holland where he was working with British Airways. We lived in Holland for 5 years, had 1 daughter, Alicia, and then in May,1987 moved back to the States to Atlanta. GA where we lived for 10 years from 1987 - 1997. After the 1996 Summer Olympic Games held in Atlanta, we were transferred to Johannesburg, South Africa where we lived for 2 years. After 18 years of marriage - we divorced in SA and all 3 of us returned to the States - my daughter and I back to Woodstock, GA (just NW of Atlanta) and my ex out to Salt Lake City. I now work at the corp. office of CARMAX in customer service and am taking paralegal classes at the local college - Kennesaw State Univ. My daughter, Alicia is 16 and in high school herself (10th grade - h...Expand for more
ard to believe!)!! I enjoy travelling to the Napa Valley, and to Europe to visit friends, and spending occassional weekends in the North GA mountains at a friend's cabin on Lake Blue Ridge. I keep busy transporting my daughter to all her activites including art classes - as she doesn't have her driver's license yet. I sometimes feel like her private chauffer !! Once I have my paralegal certificate - I hope to stay with CARMAX and move into the legal dept. at our office here in Atlanta. I recently bought a cute little house and have enjoyed decorating it doing some gardening. Those of you who may remember my brother, Kevin, who was a year behind me - he's still in Daytona and works as the manager of Park's Seafood Restaurant. Altho I rarely get back to Daytona, I still keep in touch with my friends who still live there and occassionally here news of others when they stop by Park's for a meal !!
