Alina's Story

Life Throughout high school, I was an avid skier. Since then, I've skied less but enjoyed a few new sports: sailing, scuba diving. My husband and I travel once a year to warm waters for some fun in the sun at 150 feet below the surface. We also enjoy camping, long motorcycle rides, travel, and living vicariously through my friends' amazing kids. School Many may remember me as a book worm... yes, I loved math, English and many other subjects. I'm glad I had fun in school, too. All work and no play makes for a boring college career. graduated in 1993 with a degree in Marketing. My friends and I spent many nights at Rebel basketball games (back in the heyday of Tark the Shark) and with our boyfriends. Lucky for them, they married their college sweethearts! Workplace My marketing degree kept me employed from 1996 to 1998. Before then, I had part-time jobs in sales, accounts payable/receivable, and administration. I started with Starbucks in retail management in 1998 and have never looked back. I transfered to Olympia, WA in 2000 after I met the man of my dreams online. I had a dream of working at the headquarters in the SODO area of Seattle. I'll now work in the field again with the goal of being a district manager.
