Jacqueline's Story
Life
Hello! I'm currently living in NJ with my husband, our newborn daughter, our 4 year old son, and our 2 cats. My baby and my son are such beautiful children, both absolute angels and the light of my life. They fill every day with so much joy, and I can't imagine my life without them. I am SO incredibly blessed to be their mom. : ) After completing my master's in counseling while teaching full-time over the course of 5 years, they are by far my life's greatest accomplishment! After becoming a mother, I left my position as an elementary school counselor in Hillsborough Township to be (mostly) a full-time mom, but I do hope to resume my counseling career within the next few years. I have been blessed with this priceless opportunity to spend some additional time with my children, and for this, I feel extremely fortunate. I am still looking forward to returning to my school counseling position once my daughter is a little older. Lately I've also been toying around with the idea of going back to school to receive my licensure as a marriage and family therapist, perhaps even at TCNJ. I think this will need to occur at a later date in time, though, when the children are older and not nearly as interested in spending so much time with their mom!: )(Or when it's no longer "cool" to do so!); ) It would also be nice to receive course reimbursement through whatever school dist...Expand for more
rict I wind up working for... that would definitely help!
My life has also been greatly enriched by many wonderful friends, including my best friends from college, all of whom I met at TCNJ. Even though we are now scattered throughout the globe, we all still chat on a regular basis, thanks to the convenience of email. These girls, as well as the love and friendship of many other good friends AND family members, have been such an incredible blessing to me! I was also lucky enough to meet Mike, who is a wonderful husband, my best friend, and for whom I am extremely thankful. Life is good, and as I wrote before, I feel VERY blessed and fortunate. I try not to take a single day for granted, and to live each day to the fullest extent possible. As a good friend of mine once wrote, "life is a long, strange trip with many unexpected turns." I am doing my best to try and enjoy each stage of the journey, instead of hurrying through each day to reach my destination. This is not always easy to do, but my children have made that goal much more attainable. : )
Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I hope you are doing well too! May God bless you as you continue upon the journey of your life. I wish you much happiness, laughter and love, and an abundance of friends and family members to keep you company along the way. Perhaps our paths will even cross again one day...
