Ed's Story
Life
No pets - the first kid has moved back in - yearning for the 'empty nest syndrome.' Teaching Japanese two nights a week at Pierce College. Planning a trip to Japan in July.
College
I worked a year after HS and then started East Los Angeles College, majoring in commercial art. After a few years, I transfered to the University of Hawaii, where the name of the major was changed to visual design. With two years taken out by the Army, I graduated in 1965, but imm...Expand for more
ediately got a grant from the East West Center to continue toward an MA in Far Eastern Art History, graduating in 1968. In the early 90's I went to Monterey Institute of International Studies to get an MA/TFL (teaching foreign language). Come fall (2009) I'll be teaching two sections of Japanese 1.
