Douglas's Story
I am a 1968 Grad from EDHS and went on to St. Clair College (the old WOIT) on Mercer St. in Windsor. Graduated in Electronics in 1971 and started working for Canadian Filters in Chatham - spent two years in Engineering and then went into Sales in 1973. This Automotive Company was owned by Bendix Corp (US Parent Company) then was sold to Siemens Automotive (a German Company) in 1988. In 1989 I transferred to the Sales Office at the company headquarters in Auburn Hills, MI and Lived in Rochester Hills, MI. In 2001 we moved to Addison Township (near Leonard, Michigan). Siemens Automotive was purchased by Continental Tire as part of the Automotive Systems Group, still located in Auburn Hills, MI.

I was married to Pat Stockwell (from Leamington) from 1970 to 1988 (divorce) and we have two daughters. The oldest (41) is married, living in Ingersoll, ON and is a Speech Therapist. The youngest (39) is married has two children (a daughter (5) and son (3) living in Kanata, ON and works for the Federal Government with Parks Canada.
I remarried in 1991 to Janice Caldwell (from Chatham) and she moved to Michigan and today works as a Medical Assistance. We currently live on a small 5 acre ranch (Saw Dust Farms) in rural Addison Township, MI where the roads are all dirt and there are rolling hills, inland lakes with lots of deer, rabbits and birds.
Retired life is great. Everyone should be enjoying it.
