Maria's Story
Wow life's such a journey, I wish I would have known then what I know now but I didn't and instead of wishing I could change it all I have learned to embrace it. I am a stay at home mom of 4 BEAUTIFUL kids. Jeremy 12, Nate 10, Alyssa 9, and Alex 9. Its amazing to me how life comes full circle. My oldest son will officially be a teen December 22, God it feels like I was just a teenager yesterday. I find myself eating the words "I will let my kids go wherever they want, I wont be as strict". ll about power struggles. Jeremy (he is my step son but sometimes it seems he is a spitting image of who I was at his age) is strong willed, he looks so though on the outside but on the inside he is a ball of mush. He is trying to find his way, be his own person and control something, anything. Man I remember that, needing to know that there was something in my life that I not my parents or teachers but I had control of. And right on his heels I have Nate, and right behind him is Alex and Alyssa. Sometimes its seems so overwhelming but I know like me n my parents, we will one day look back on these times and my kids will actually be able to understand why I cant be their best friend.
