Cynthia's Story
Life
I was born in Bridgeton, New Jersey and attended Hopewell Crest and Hopewell Township elementary schools, Bridgeton Junior and Senior High Schools. As a young girl, I participated in softball in both the Bridgeton Cinderella League and West Cumberland League. I also took dance lessons for about ten years (tap and jazz) from Audrey's Dance Studio and was a 4-H member, leader and Teen Council member for several years. I have many fond memories of setting up booths at the Cumberland County Fair. The smell of horse manure still brings back many happy memories!
After high school I went to Brandywine College (a small junior college outside of Wilmington, Delaware) and worked summers in Bridgeton at Cumberland County Library. I later took a vacation to Washington State and despite the rain three hundred days a year (jus...Expand for more
t kidding) I fell in love with the mountains and stayed on. After a short stint (thank God!) as a waitress at a greasy spoon, I was offered my dream job at the local library. 30 years later, I am still there and loving it. For some reason whenever I tell anyone I work at the library they say "It figures!" Was I really that much of a bookworm?
Anyway, here I am in a beautiful part of the country practically as far away from Bridgeton as one can get. I am married to a wonderful man and have four boys. It's a busy hectic life - the testosterone around here is pretty thick at times but I wouldn't change a thing. I joined Classmates hoping to hear from old Hopewell, Bridgeton and Brandywine pals. Being so far away, I miss hearing about the everyday activities of my old stomping grounds. I invite anyone to drop me a line.
