Hi, Classmates. Not everyone showed up at the last reunion (our 30th) Hope we have another get together for or 35th or 40th.
I'm married 30 years to Dennis Smith, most of you know him. We have lived in Elwood most of our married lives. Went through the flood in '93 and came back. We have two kids Jeff age 27. Jeff is married has 6 year old son and a 2yr. old daughter. He is a full time police officer in Elwood, his wife, Brandy is an assistant manager at the south belt Wal-Mart bakery. Our daughter Wendi, who will be 30 is divorced and raising a little girl alone. She is a collector for SST in St. Joseph. So, if any of you have any eligible bacholar sons, get in touch. I stay at home now. I babysit grandchildren, I am also a professional tax preparer who previously worked seasonaly for Jackson Hewitt Tax service. I am now doing taxes from my home. aven't won a lottery or cured any diseases but life ain't been all that bad either.
Well, it's been a few years since I updated anything here. It's now 2009. I just turned another year older, as I am sure we all have. Since the end of 2007 till now things have been rocky in my life. My father was badly injured and in the hospital and nursing home for most of 2008 and my mother who has not been well for along time passed away at the end of November 2008. Of course I mourn the loss of our friend and classmate Shirley Whittaker Davies.
Dennis is still with Oram Material Handling as service manager. I am still doing some taxes from home also babysitting and I have also been working at our School as a Para educator with DCEC. We'll be grandparents again in November, our daughter is expecting. We've moved my father from Troy to a senior apartment in Elwood so that he is closer. I am hoping that the rest of 2009 and the future have good things in store for us and everyone else as well.
