Alec's Story
Life
After graduation from Lake Braddock, I attended the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. I graduated in 1984 with a BS in Electrical Engineering. I married Lori in Colorado Springs and was stationed at Malmstrom Air Force Base in Great Falls, Montana, where I maintained Minuteman III missile systems. In 1986 I went to the University of Michigan and earned a MS in EE in 1988. I was then stationed at Los Angeles AFB where I worked in R&D for satellite systems. SAT 7 payloads. LANDSAT 7 was launched on 15 April 1999 and continues to provide images of the Earth for scientific and mapping. In 1994 I was assigned to a classified space program in the Washington DC area. In 1998 I was again assigned to Los Angeles where I managed the space segment for the Space Based Infrared System Low satellite system. I then was assigned to the pentagon in a variety of assignments. I am currently attending the Industrial College of the Armed Forces. Lori and I have two daughters, Jessica and Krista.
