Jennifer's Story
School
I got sent home or suspended from every school I went to from preschool up to and including high school. Most of the time it was for fighting. Once it was for posting "obscene" pictures - a guy pretending to hang himself. The funny thing was I got the picture from the school yearbook. So they changed it to an "excused absense" - ha ha!
Mr. Edwards at Monta Vista was the best teacher I ever had. He had a poster in his classroom that said "People who know math rip off people who don't!"
College
My first year was spent in the dorms with two roommates. One was my homegirl Dawn Michelle ...Expand for more
from East L.A. The other was Genevieve from Beverly Hills. They were like oil and water - I had a great time watching them fight. Eventually we scared Genevieve out. Then we got another girl that we scared the hell out of. Good times.
The next year I moved into Pax House, an independent co-op. Let's just say that things could get a bit crazy in that house sometimes. My grades got really bad by the end of my third year. Then I woke up and actually worked at graduating and my grades got somewhat better. It took me five years to graduate instead of the usual four. Ah, Pax House, how I miss you.
