Debbie's Story
I entered Woodlawn as Debbie Foster in the fall 1966 as a soph moving from Oak Terrace Jr. High. Always in Band, just behind Mike Williford in the clarinet section. What happened to Mike?
Dad was Air Force so I didn't get to graduate with everyone, but WHS will always be #1. I know I cried a at least a quadrangle full of tears over that.
Moved to Altus, OK Sept 1967 - graduated 1968
College: SW Ok State, Weatherford, OK - 68-70 years - Instrumental Music Major - (married & moved) - graduated NE Ok State U, Tahlequah, OK B.S. Elem. Ed 1974
Taught 1st & 3rd grade in Bixby, OK for 4 years (74-78) before moving to Kingfisher, OK where I taught 2nd grade for 7 years (78-85). Moved to Garden City, KS as an elementary counselor (85-88). Relocated to McAlester, OK in 8/88 where I presently live.

nselor, director of a regional professional development center, elementary & early childhood principal, and am now at MPS central office serving as the Federal Programs Director, Lead Grant Writer, and Professional Development Center Director.
I love kids and believe that God called me to be a teacher. I love the little guys the most, but all ages have that mystery and wonder about them.
I was married for 20 years, divorced for 7 and have been married to my wonderful second husband Art for over 12 years.
I have one step daughter, 2 grand children and 2 great-grandchildren.
I love to learn about everything, read, work with technology, garden (when the arthitis allows), travel, go to church, and be with family & friends.
I look forward to hearing from so old friends and hearing about your life journeys. This is mine in a few factoids.
Debbie
