the movie. The boat survived the storm with $200 worth of dammage. Built like a sea buoy.
True story.
Update 05 July 08
Still going to sea, and still ready for the round the world cruise. Wife not thrilled, so she will stay home. P.I. is my goal
I have been working heavy lift ships and oil tankers. I am now on a VERY OLD tanker that is being refitted for the "Grain Run" to Mombasa Kenya from Houston, TX. I've been there plenty of times, in the navy and on merchant ships.
Wife is asking me when I will retire, I told her never. I am seriously considering a place in tagaytay highlands, philippines. google it guys. It's cheaper than the states. the view is beautifull, and the wx is mild. Did I say the beer is cheap... San Miguel, an aquired taste..
6mos here, 6 mos there.
Keep the slimy side down,
John

Back From Mombasa. We hit Durban on the way home. What a great place that was. One of these days I¿ll dump some of the movies I took on safari on u tube. Like Rod Stewart said: Every picture tells a story.
Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and of course, Happy Kwanza.
July 09
Just finishing up 3+ mos in the Persian Gulf: Not the garden spot of the world. I was on a small tanker running oil for Uncle Sugar. Back home for the summer and getting ready for a sail North to Halifax N.S. in Aug. No one is interested in going, so it looks like I will go it alone, again!!
John ;)
