Peggy's Story
Life
I am happily married to my husband, Scotty, for 39 years. We have 3 wonderful kids, all college graduates with good jobs, 5 grandchildren. I retired from the US Postal Service with 30 years as a rural carrier. We have a nice fifthwheel and enjoy traveling when we can, or just camping close to home with family and friends, and of course, our Cocker Spaniel, and devoted family pet, Scooter. I am enjoying retirement because I can help take care of grands when I am needed, or just sleep late if I want to! I have always enjoyed going with Scotty or helping him on the farm. He will probably never fully retire, but I'm not sure I would want him to. We farm cotton, wheat and milo, and have about 50...Expand for more
mother cows. We like to spend time in Ruidoso during the summer, and usually go to Las Vegas during December for the National Finals Rodeo which happens to fall on our anniversary so it makes a special trip for us. My Mother is still living in Bronte at the age of 88. She is in very good health for her age, and lives next door to my brother and sister-in-law, Benny and Jackie. We are very close to them and their families, and enjoy camping with them. I love to help my kids and their spouses when I can, and love to keep the grands. They are so much fun. We go to church at First Baptist in Winters, and live about 8 miles from town near the community of Wingate. I didn't get very far from Bronte!
