Life Hi! I finished school in the US. Then I went backpacking around Europe for 6 months. Afterwards I worked at NREL (National Renewable Energy Lab), the US Dept. of Ed., and for a couple of dot coms. Met my better half whilst working for the same software company. He wrote a sucessful product called RealBasic (a VB environment for the Mac platform). After he sold the IP to a Texas firm we decided to live in his native Australia. I got my first PhD and then worked for a couple of big Fortune 50's. I then landed a job at University of New South Wales in Sydney after we decided to move to Australia. Moving 1/2 way around the world to a new job sucks if the new job is a nightmare. I quit that job and found another one in Canberra, got my second PhD (That's Doctor Doctor now, too much school, not enough time:-) ). We are busy but happy with the girls and work. We travel a lot. We also regularly head up to Sydney for a shopping fix and to visit friends. We purchased a great apartment just metres from the beach, so now we have a place to stay whenever we are in the city. It beats staying in hotels (except for the laundry and room service!) I now work for a private software company, raise 4 lovely girls, two cats, and one duck and several fish.
