Bruce's Story
Life
When I start thinking about my lifes accomplishments, it is somewhat disconcerting. After graduation from LHS I went to Trinidad State Jr College and lasted one year. The summer of 59 I went to work for GTE and was unlocated (moved around a lot) for a few years. During that time I was drafted into the army and spent two years as a guest of Uncle Sam. After the military stint back to GTE and finally located in the Lewisville/Flower Mound area where I have been for about 40+ years. Married in 1967 and divorced in 1984. Got two boys out of the deal. They are 44 and 42 now and live close by. I am a great granddad! Can you believe it? A look at my now pic and the answer is yes!
During my employment with GTE I went back to school (UNT) and got a degree in business. I retired from GTE in 1991 and started selling Real Estate. I have a brokers license and now sell Real Estate from my home office. I am mostly retired and live in Flower Mound, Texas (near Dallas). I get out to Littlefield about every 3 or 4 months. ister-in laws living out there. I am still in E-Mail contact with several of our old classmates. I sold my sail boat and to keep my self occupied bought a camper (16 foot Casita). Met some of my old classmates on a camping trip this summer and now I have a 19' camper and a pickup about a block long to pull it with. Peer pressure does not stop when you graduate high school! Visited the Trinity site, Los Alamos and the Palo Duro Canyon several years ago. I get out to New Mexico or Colorado snow skiing about 2 or 3 times a year. Try to get in a 7 day cruise every year but Katrina and Ike knocked me out in 2005 and 2007. I have a 1964 Corvair I am getting into driving condition. I guess I don't have enough aggravation in my regular life.
If you find a lot of gramatical errors and missellings in this Bio don't blame Mrs. Lynn (LHS English). She tried but did not have much to work with!
My new plan is to take a trip around the USA (lower 48) in my camper. I think I can do it in a couple months but make split it in two summers.
