Mary's Story

I am married to Michael Moore. We have been married for 28 years. We reside in Sacramento California! He is a dentist and has a thriving practice in Elk Grove. We live about ten miles from the office. I have a darling little Shiz Tsu, Maltese/Laphso. (KAI-LEO) She was only supposed to be 5 lbs, but I got almost three for the price of one!. This little 10++ lb critter is the light of our life! She is the cutest little gal in the world! Her name is Gigi. I am a Direct for Visalus. The good it is doing people is incredible! Everyone is getting healthy!!! My oldest daughter, Carmen, is a doctor. She double majored in Psychiatry and Internal Medicine. She is currently living and working as a psychiatrist in Normal, IL. She loves her profession, is single and has two grown children, her son, Michael (Amy) and her daughter, Teresa (Brian). She has five adorable granddaughters, Zoe and Piper (Mike and Amy's) and Chloe, Hadley and Carolyn (Teresa's and Brian¿s). That makes me a Great-Grandma FIVE times! Who would have guessed??? And I love every minute of it!!!! My youngest daughter, Laurel, is a homemaker and is happily married to David. They have three active children, Anastasia, Sofia and Monico, who have all graduated from HS! They are Directs for Visalus. Michael¿s daughter, (my stepdaughter) Molly, age 38, who is a homemaker is married to Marc MacAlpine. She has five beautiful children; Gwendolyn, Sebastian, Westley, Alixandria and Cole (Jax). They live in Laconia NH. Michael¿s son, (my stepson) Sean, age 33, is not married, but looking. He just completed an IT course at MTI college and pulled a 4.0. He has moved back with his mother in Nebraska. (Thank goodness!) I am retired and we did install a lot of new computerized equipment at the office, as Michael is now treating TMJ and sleep disorders. ome and the phone is often forwarded here from the office, as I can connect to the office computer to schedule or whatever is needed for the patients. Recently I signed up with Visalus and we are in the business of getting everyone healthy! Mom died just before Christmas, 2010. It is kind of hard to find myself growing old! My mind is willing...but my body sure isn't! Our 50th Class Reunion was wonderful! All but two were there! Such a good time!!! What is there to say...I graduated from high school. Went all nine grades at Edwall and then finished up at Reardan. I tried to have as much fun as I possibly could. Life should NOT be taken too seriously!! I did decide to marry shortly after high school graduation, which was pretty stupid. And then had a couple of kids before I was 21. Also stupid...but I was young enough to really enjoy them! Ended up finding out what life was about that was certainly not taught in school! When in high school I was in the tennis club, glee club, chorus, trio, band and participated in drama class. I drove to and from Edwall/Reardan from the time I was 16. Except in the snowy weather. Nowadays the classes that are offered are much more interesting. I almost always had fun. No matter how hard I studied, I was not an A student. But I tried hard. I had appendicitis and mono when I was 16, so I missed a lot of school. I attended all the proms with dates. We all had such a wonderful life in such a small school! We didn't know how good we actually did have it, did we? I was registered for business school, but decided too marry instead. Dumb. So my life was based on experience, not structured school lessons, which could have included a full college education. I did go to business school a few years later, which created the backbone of my business career. Smart. And I did take a few college courses during this lifetime.
