Mary's Story
Life
We now live in Bellevue, Nebraska just outside of Omaha. It is a nice place to live and I really love it here. My husband is still in the military...he has a little over 15mos to go. Faith Graduated last year and Hope will graduate this year...hopefully if all goes well. Me...I stay busy taking care of everyone and the lady I work for and take care of.
School
I have some of my most fondest and saddest memories of school. I am a staunch supporter of continued education...you can always learn something new. I miss the people that I made friends with, I miss my hometown school, and no matter where I go in the world...I always miss home...weird...You don't realize what you miss until you are gone. Take pride in your school and school work, you will learn so much and take so much with you. To every teacher I say, "Teaching does make a difference in the world...so continue to strive to reach the kids you teach, you never know where it will go."
College
I waited to go to coll...Expand for more
ege until I was in my 30s. I am glad because when I was younger, I wouldn't have taken it seriously. Even now in my middle 30s I have a desire to go back to college and get my Ph.D in psychiatry in the criminal or forensic sciences. I am waiting until my children are grown because they take presidence in my life. Anyone who has the chance to go to college, do it, follow your dreams and give it all you've got.
Military
The military was one of the best things I did in my life. The structure, the friends become like family...the pride you feel in serving your country, even if it is walking around a plane counting the bolts...I am glad I had a chance to meet the people I did, and do the things I have done. I have taken it with me through out my life...and those of you who knew me...you touched my life and may God touch yours and bless it...I have 3 beautiful children...they are growing so fast now...teens...man that is harder than the military. God bless and take care, all of you.
