David's Story
Life:
Hello all you late 60's Henry High survivors.
Have been on here for 11 years now, just realized. Life has moved on since first posting here.
Here's an update:
U. of T. '74, where I met my wife Jane on a blind date, lucky application for a scholarship to study in England, then back to law school at U. of T. '79. Articled and practiced on Bay Street for a total of about 10 years, then my firm opened an office in London, with me as the lucky refugee, and we spent 18 years there, bringing up our girls until the nest emptied. .
At the end of 2006, my firm closed the London office and I returned to the Toronto office while Jane happily retired from her teaching career. We now live in The Annex, and I walk to work downtown as often as I can.
Two gorgeous girls, one a schoolteacher with degrees from McGill and an Australian teacher's college, and the other a lawyer with degrees from Guelph and UBC Law, just in the process of being calle...Expand for more
d to the Bar in BC and Ontario. First grandson arrived in June, 2012, and we see him and his family all the time as they live nearby.
We've kept the cottage on Lake Huron, between Grand Bend and Bayfield. Crazy about computers, photography and sailing my little second hand dinghy. Still get together 2 or 3 times a year with my Haliburton summer camp friends, but would love to renew contact with King Street Public and Henry High friends, (apart from Andrew Roblin, who I have always seen regularly since the 60's - if you look at my "Then" photo, you'll see Andrew and me in the back row at nursery school when we were about 4 years old). Had a great time at all Henry reunions since graduating in '69.

College
After Vic, I attended Merton College,Oxford for 2 years, receiving a second B.A. in Modern History (which starts sometime before the year 1066 in Oxford terms). Then I attended U. of T. Faculty of Law and received an L.L.B. in 1979.
