Melanie's Story
The past year has kept me busy as usual. Last summer I finished my master's degree, and traveled around the east coast and Spain. When my husband Rich and I aren't teaching or traveling, we spend time with our dog and our friends. I also spend lots of time in the kitchen preparing Thai meals or in the garden growing things to cook!

This school year I was selected as Teacher of the Year for my school, an honor that I was very proud to receive. Now I'm competing for the award at the corporation level, which makes me pretty anxious.
I couldn't be happier with how my life has turned out. I have an easygoing, fulfilling marriage to the most dedicated, intelligent and hysterical guy I've ever met. I have a loving family, great friends, and career that reaffirms my ability to make a difference in the world.
