Robert's Story
Life
I graduated from University of Michigan Engineering with honors (Bachelors and Masters in Mechanical Engineering), attended law school, became a Registered Professional Engineer in Michigan, and have been married to a former Miss Canada for 26 years (she represented Canada in the Miss Universe (El Salvador), Miss World (London, England), Queen of the Pacific (Sydney, Australia), and Miss International (Tokyo) pageants). She was a television personality in Australia and later became an executive with a major American company before she "retired" to have our son Alexander (named for his great-grandfather who was a Lutheran school teacher in Frankenmuth). I have had an excellent career in automotive engineering and vehicle product planning fields, and I am currently Vice President of Engineering and a Corporate Officer for a major truck body manufacturer. am.
My future plans include getting my novel published (working title: The Berlin Nucleus--watch for it in bookstores in 2009).
I remain involved with a Lutheran Church congregation. I have watched just about every Michigan home football game since I was an undergraduate, and I stay active with running, exercise, and golf. I have been fortunate to have been able to travel to many parts of the world with my beautiful wife (including Paris, Lyon, Sao Paulo, Rio, Mexico City, London, Berlin, Normandy, Munich, Saltzburg, Edinburgh, Amsterdam, Bermuda, and Italy--17 contries in all). And, I still stay in touch with several high school buddies, still enjoy singing rock and roll, and still fool around with HO scale model trains. If you remember me, you might have known that I came from a broken home and had no car in the family until age 17, so it's a remarkable journey that I have taken--one I never thought possible.
God's Blessings to you, and stay healthy!!
