Life (July 2008) I live in rural Nevada, not very far from Las Vegas. I married Scott in August, 1989, and we have 6 beautiful children, ages 16, 15, 11, 10, 8, and 4. 3 girls and 3 boys. My oldest is a senior this year and made the varsity volleyball team. The next is playing on the jv football team. The 12 year old is a 7th grader at the middle school and playing football for his school. I am lucky to be an at-home mom, although I never seem to be home by the time I run everyone to practice or games, etc. etc. But that is what I love doing. I would much rather watch my kids' sporting events than be sitting at home! Last year, July 14, 2007 my life changed drastically. My husband fell from a ladder and suffered fatal injuries. I never imagained I would be a 39 year old widow. Over the next year or two, hopefully maybe longer, my at-home-mom status will change as I will have to get back into the work force. I hope to hold off as long as possible, at least until the little one starts school. It's hard to believe it's been a year already. We all miss him every day, but the kids continued to do well in school, both academically and in sports. I am proud at how well they have adjusted and live each day to honor t...Expand for more
