Leah's Story
Life
I still live in town,and have been in a committed relationship with Clark Paschall (Class of 84) for 23 years. Right now I am happy with my life. I would like to travel more. Currently I am learning how to scuba dive and play the violin.
Update 2009
I am getting to vacation more yah for me, last November We went to California, Las Vegas,and the Grand Canyon West, and yes I went out on the Sky Walk , it was awesome. We just got home from Atlanta for a long weekend for Clark's birthday. We went to the Georgia Aquarium, if you haven't been, I highly recommend it, but don't believe the ticket people, it takes more than 2 hours, I didn't want to leave. We also saw the King tut exhibit, and the first emperor of China exhibit. That was spectacular, the only thing better would be to go to China and see the whole thing, and I am thinking about doing that. Until last year we had not taken a vacation since 2002. I don't recommend not taking time off. Life is too short to be a drone, we all need to leave the hive sometime. haha!
School
Boy we were invincible. Loved my car, my best friend , ...Expand for more
and graduation day. Band was awesome. Pat Benetar said it best, "We are young and no one could tell us we're wrong, we are strong ... " All that teen angst though don't miss that. I missed the last 9 weeks of my senior year because I was going to cosmetology school and working full time.I had my own apartment and had bills to pay, so I missed a lot of the parties at the end, No regrets though. Peace from the Girl on the Moon.
College
I was a little sister in Alpha Psi Omega and made a lot of lasting friendships there. I still have dinner with some of them every week.Never finished my degree , couldn't decide what I wanted to major in besides life.
Workplace
I have been doing hair for 26 years. 27, If you count the year of school. Currently self employed. Love it. I've met wonderful people over the years and have learned a lot from most of them about life and the human condition. Sometimes it's not about the hair! I have been fortunate to find something I love and have enjoyed being able to do it for as long as I have. I figure I'll continue until they pry the comb from my hand or I win the lotto.
