anadian Irish roots now. I found a 6th cousin from my maternal grandfather's Breton roots ( we both descend from a brother & sister in the 1750s). On my paternal German from Russia side, I've jumped the pond & am finding info in mid 19th century Bessarabia (the former Russian Ukrainian breadbasket). So I figure that my gardening runs in the genes!!!
