Mary's Story
Attended Edgewood High School and the University of Wisconsin, majoring in Elementary Education with minors in math, speech and science.
Active duty U.S. Navy from 1973 until 1980, honorably discharged as a Lt. Cmdr. Service included Personnel Officer stints at Subic Bay, Ship Repair Facility; Naval Training Center and Naval Administrative Command in Orlando Florida; Naval Reactors in Washington D.C.
Noteworthy achievements/events - participated in the operation to relocate over 40,000 Vietnamese refugees upon the fall of Saigon in 1975; survived an interview with VAdm Hyman Rickover.
