Thomas's Story
I was very quiet in school. Not really fitting in with any of the groups, I fell in with the misfits. I holed up in my room most of the time playing guitar, mostly Rush songs. The only class I really liked was Art class.
I couldn't get into punk, like my friends at the time, it was a polar opposite. I did love the energy, though.
I was in a couple of bands that never really went anywhere. The biggest show we had was the 1987 Forrest air band show in a band called Shatterd Image. Rhonda Peavey was our singer, Alan Miller on drums, Larry Jackson on the other guitar, and Brian Pannel on bass. I can't remember who was playing keyboards. We played a lot of hair band stuff like Guns & Roses, but I did manage to get a Cure song in. Just like Heaven was my favorite song at the time.
After a failed attempt at a start up Carpet Cleaning job, I wound up at Southeastern Aluminum Products running a saw. It was a factory that made shower doors and screens. We had about 30 people in the plant at the time. Over 20 years later, I'm still there. I've been a Supervisor for almost half of that time, and the company has grown immensely. We have 2 other locations, one in Carmel, IN, and 1 in Phoenix, AZ.

tive. I started taking classes at FCCJ in 1992, concentrating on drawing. I made decent grades, a 3.66 GPA. I took a photography course just for an elective, and really enjoyed it.
After many night classes, I finally graduated FCCJ in 1997 with an Associates degree. From there, I went to the University of Florida. I found a way to make every class important, and fun. My grades were even better there. Work conflicts, class schedules, and looking after the kids while Monica is at work in the evenings has slowed school down a bit, but I'm only a class or 2 away from finishing up with a BFA in Painting and Drawing.
I met Monica through work. She worked in the office, and I would find excuses to visit her. We now have 3 children between the 2 of us. She had a little boy, Aubrey, not even a year old at the time. We had twin girls together, Ansleigh and Melinda.
I still play guitar once in a while, but I've got a new hobby that eats up too much time and money: Astronomy. I'm now using my film camera to take pictures of galaxies and nebulae millions of light years away.
My other interest is cars. I've always tinkered with them, whether it was my 77 Ford Granada, or my 1980 280 ZX, I never feared taking something apart. Now I've got a yard full of old Cadillac Hearses.
