Kelly's Story
Hello to all. Hope this finds you all very happy and doing well. I wanted to take a moment to catch up, and would love to hear from each of you.
I am currently living is Los Angeles, CA. After leaving UNCC in 1998, I did some traveling and I have lived in New Mexico, Arizona, and Texas. I have really enjoyed the mind-opening experiences I have had and friends that I have made all over the country.
I still have my southern accent, and people really dig it outside of the south. I have found it to be a real icebreaker in the business world. I love my Carolina home, and I am very proud to be from Concord, NC, but if you have never been out of NC/SC, make sure you do it at least once, or as often as you can. Even if you never travel abroad, there are so many interesting things out there to see in the U.S., and there are interesting people all over, and you will find good people just about anywhere you go.
I have been living in Los Angeles and working here for over 5 years. I work as an accounting manager for a firm that manages over 375 homeowners/condo associations. That equates to about 35,000 homes. Always a lot of drama going on there. My company is the best of the best in this business. We get a lot of respect. I have worked in property management since 1997. Got my start in the good ol' C-L-T (Charlotte) working at The Timbers Apartments on Eastway/Kilborne.

studying for my MBA, Masters in Business Administration, and hope to eventually move up in the field, maybe into larger scale management or property acquisitions or have my own management company one day.
I have never been married and don't have any children; however, I am happily involved with a real southern gentleman that I met here in L.A. (go figure)
Living in the desert SW and in California, I enjoy hiking and being out of doors when I get the chance. There are also some amazing drives out here along the ocean, desert, and mountains. I took up golfing, but I¿m terrible. I¿m part Scottish, so it should be in the blood, but this is not the case. I was never very athletically inclined. I don¿t think you can count 3 years in the CCHS marching band.
Work keeps me pretty busy, and when I am not working I like to keep it really low key. Living in L.A., it¿s not unusual to be in line behind a celebrity at the grocery store, usually D-listers. Most people are regular Joes, just like you or me, only generally more annoyed with everyone and everything.
I typically visit NC once or twice per year. My family is all still there, and within a two-mile radius. I am the black sheep, living 2500 miles away. My parents sold our house on Zion Church Rd several years ago. I only mention it because most everyone drove past it on the way to school, especially if you grew up in Midland.
