Arthur's Story
Hello Folks, I have been hesitant in telling my story because as I get ollder then dirt, I wonder who would reallly be interested. I am married to a wonderful woman for the past 22 years, after various other tries, (we won't go into that). I guess you can call me an entrepranuer or crazy, since I have been involved with various busineses. After being the longest probationary student in U of R history. I moved to DC where I eventurally became a buyer for Hechts, then on to Rochester NY as a product manager for a men's accessory company then on to Atlanta as a Merchandise Mgr. Started a Men's Belt company in my basement which eventually morphed into a Ralph Lauren Polo Leathergoods licensed company. At that time I had a mid life chrisis, oh yes it was all about me, sold out to my familly who came into the business and started a coporate apparel business. After years as an agent for various companies, such as Wrangler, Jansport , and Duckhead. Worked the coporate apparel until 9/11...Expand for more
when we had to consolidate, didn't want to move from Norfolk, so sold out. Became an housing rehab, (didn't know what I was doing, duh!) Then developed a partnership in an elevator inspection company. Bayline Lift Technologies. which has morphed into the third largest in the country with National , Commercial and Local Custormers. Now this business is 12 years old and thriving because of the great people who are associated with it. In the meantime I was asked to raise money for a small Maritime School. The Mid Atlantic Maritime Academy (all on the web.) We have a foot print in Norfolk of 23000 sq ft. soon to be 35,000 with affilates in Houston and New schools to open in Mayport Fl and hopefully Homa La. I am lucky to be working with the best people in the world, you can find what the companies are doing on the web. . That's about all folks, sorry to bore you, and forgive the spelling mistakes.
