Brian's Story

Life After graduating Buchholz I went to UF, worked at DSC, tutored in many subjects for students at UF and Santa Fe and just took my time. In 1988 I fell off a balcony at Hawaiian Village which put me in a coma for 27 days at North Florida Regional and decided me that I wouldn't get my degree in Mechanical Engineering (wouldn't take the 4 classes I had left) I would change to Computer Engineering ( a newly opened major at UF). Cudos to the staff and surgeons at NFRMC since if the depressed skull fracture and the brain trauma had happened just a few years before, I would have remained dead. But as many people know, my brain isn't a vital organ anyway. I recovered and finished school in 1992 moved to St. Pete to work for a defense contractor in Software Quality Engine...Expand for more
ering. I found the job unbearable so submitted my resume to IBM and they moved me to beautiful North Carolina! The weather is beautiful, the people are nice, and the bugs are small! I bought a house in 1995 and was snowed in for a week and hurricaned out (Fran) for two weeks all within the first year. Married in 2003 Laid off from IBM in 2004 hired back as a contractor in 2005 Getting Divorced in December of 2006 Divorced April 2007 Living in Apex NC now and planning a koi pond and sun room. Workplace After 11 years I was laid off from IBM and hired back as a contractor. I love it, now I get paid for all the hours I work. I found my new house in the country and have a big shop and have cleared a place for my fish pond. Just need to update my web site.
