John's Story
Life
Was born in Palo Alto, moved to Glendale in 1962, attended Glendale Presbyterian Church until my dad retired in 1975 and we moved to San Clemente. Spent K-2 at Salem Lutheran, 3-6 at Verdugo Woodlands Elementary, and then 7-8 at Wilson Jr. High. Started 9th grade at San Clemente High School. After graduation in '79, I attended Saddleback College, with the intent to get my GE, transfer to Biola University, and get my BA in Business. I was in an automobile accident in '81 that kinda changed all that. But while at Saddleback, I started taking music and photography courses. been singing in professional choirs for the last few years, and in and indirect way, that's how I met my wife. We married in the fall of '99 (we were returning from the Honeymoon on the day of the 20th reunion), and we have a 8 year-old boy and a 7-year old daughter (whew!). Lorrie has a son who is 14, is an awesome baseball player and plays clarinet in the band. I live in Garden Grove now. My parents sold their house near the Riviera in San Clemente and my dad passed away in June of 2004. I have been working for a large printing company for 25 years now, and hope to be out of that someday. I never picked up a camera until after high school, but I love doing fine art black & white photography. I'd love to hear from any SC alum. So drop an email!
