I returned from Germany in 2010 after almost 20 years as a middle level manager responsible for overseeing stationing of Army units in Europe, fielding new equipment to Army units in Europe, and documenting personnel and equipment requirements and authorizations for all Army units in Europe. I am one of 4 managers in my division and I have 8 people who work for me. Traveling was a part of my job and it included trips to Italy, Holland, France and Belgium, as well as several of the eastern European countries - Macedonia, Bulgaria, Serbo-Montenegro, etc.
