Michael's Story

I work at Silver Reef Casino in Ferndale, WA, I have been there since opening week, f'n se7en years ago!!Oh where does time go? During that time, I've accumulated 6 tattoos in all. 1 being my intitials, MWS. 2, a spontaneous idea that is, "Son of A Fisherman" which has a story behind it. 3, my native design tattoo. A figure holding up a salmon over his head to the sun while in a canoe; with 1-LUV written into the sun's rays, which turned out to be muy late Uncle Creig Julius with his back turned, holding a fish. 4, a memorial tattoo for my cousin Jade, with his first name and his birth year and not, 80/06 & about 3 mos. later, I got a black flame surrounding his name with some bad bad ass shading around it (tat no.5) And I got a memorial tattoo for my cousin Jason. It has 2 Pac's tribal band that was on his left wrist and forearm with RIP BIG J on it, tat no.6. Ironic, I was the Tupac fan and he was the Biggie Smalls fan. We used to actually fight with fists flying and wrestle over who was the better rapper. Take swings and punches and wake up with scratches and bruises and scrapes and your knuckles, bruised..fun times. I don't quite think I'm done with the ink, just yet. You get one and you get another one. And you get another one, and you have this idea about another one; etc. etc. their addiction is quite true. I have an idea about Dear Mom..., a memorial tattoo for my mother, Vera, who past away when I was 20, which was 12 yrs ago, as of 070409. It's been so long, and there's just so much that I could tell her and uh,...yeah. The idea concept is Dear Mom...-inside a scripture, trailing my arm bands on my left arm. Yup, the tattoo would actually make people cry.. I have an idea about a dragon and tiger yin-yang, circling each other in 2D with a wind stream in betwee...Expand for more
n them, making none of the art work touching at all, it would look total bad ass! I yearn for this tattoo of Simba, from Lion King, as he was drawn onto a tree. I want to man up and face my destiny and I think that is, to finish a fictional story I've been working on; and publish it, and watch it manifest onto big screen..that is just very lucid and pipe dreams to me. Well this is me, those are my tattoos so far..except for the ones that are laid out as ideas..I deal every game at Silver Reef, except craps..I work in the daytime & I like to work out at the fitness center, Which wasn't open when I wrote this. I can't quite believe its been se7en yrs since the casino first opened. Crazy. Crazy. I don't regret becoming a dealer, but what I do regret is not finishing school..college. I remember being interested in being a roofer/contracter with a 4 yr course & a fire chief inspector, which would've taken se7en yrs to complete: BOTH would have been done, a long long time ago. Don't give up, man! Once you decide what you want to become, you can be it. ..I don't remember what me and my sister Julie were talking about, but she asked me, what do you see when you're at work?? I think she was looking for, something like corruption or, whatever.. I think about this question for a few seconds and I say, "I see rich people. I see poor people. I see people, just scraping by and struggling; and I see people who only get money, every once in a while and trying to make that money last... "Than, I see people, who just walk around..doing absolutely nothing. And that makes me wonder, why? "Why just do nothing? I mean, all that money is out there! You just have to f'n get up and f'n get out there and get it and make it!" That right there, was a really, really fu*#ing good answer.
