Jennifer's Story
Life
May, 2011 - Life is good, Michael and I are still together, enjoying life as a couple. His work has taken him to New Mexico, but he is working hard trying to get transferred back to the DFW area, unfortunately, not much in the Mt. Pleasant area we call home.
My Mother passed away last December, thankfully, she didn't linger long in discomfort. The cancer she had was a blood borne and the chemo/pain meds had ceased to offer much help. She slipped into a coma one morning and had passed away that same night. Her mind stayed active up until that day, and for those of you that were my close friends throughout school, she still remembered you and liked hearing how everyone was doing.
I was bumped up to supervisor this year, still doing taxes, enjoying it even more so. I always liked working with numbers, so this job has been fun along with providing income.
January, 2010 - Gosh, can you believe it? 2010. Still living in Mt. Pleasant, sort of single, have a housemate who I have a lot of feelings for, but doubt we will tie the knot, just not for either of us and we are happy living the way we are. My son took over the house in Mansfield and is doing quite well for a young man of 20. I am v...Expand for more
ery proud of the way he has turned out. My mom is still in the nursing home and holding her own. Her body has many problems, she is in the wheelchair most of the time now. Sometimes her mind fades, but she is still the head strong woman she always has been. Just started a new job with a tax preparer's office, although not what I was hoping for at this stage in my life, it is a job and I enjoy it so far.
Hard to believe that I am fixing to be 52, don't feel the age, well, my body does when I over do, but don't feel it in my soul. Just can't believe so many years have passed since the days of Hawthorne, Hood and Samuell. Still have my horses, lost my German Shepard last year, but have her daughter and another one my neighbors thought I needed after my Rosie died. My partner has one that he has added to the "kids", older than the pups and rules the house. Life is good, could always be better, but for now, I will take what I have and enjoy every minute of it.
Nov. 2008 - Single again. While it worked for over a year, he changed, and not for the good. I am now living alone on the old family home place with my 2 dogs, 4 horses and 3 donkeys. Content in my nearing old age...lol. Life goes on!
