Jean's Story
Life
Most of my family, Roy Smith, Robert Smith and the rest of the brut, still live in Yuma, AZ. After divorcing my 1st husband, Eddie Arviso, I moved to Calif where I did some modeling, met my 2nd husband in which we have been married now for over twenty-nine years, went back to school, and raised two children, a son and daughter. We presently now have five grandchildren. We moved to Colorado and became very involved with the Moose Lodge and our Church. We then moved to Phoenix, Az and became very involve with A.B.A.T.E. a non-profit, Motorcycle Rights Organization which I was the State Membership Coordinator for over 1600 members and my husband set on the Board of Directors. I have my own business as a tax preparer and accountant, in which both my sister and I are partners. I am back and forth from both my office here in Glendale, AZ to my sister's office, which is the Corp office located in Yuma, AZ. While I was attending school, I cut back on the amount of business I was doing to go to work full time. I graduated with a dual BA in Business Mgmt and my Master in Accounting. I am rebuilding my tax business so that I can again work out of my home. I attended the Unv of Phx and received the following: A HR Mgmt Certification, a BS in both BM and Mkt. I now have my insurance license and I am hopeing to get that par...Expand for more
t of my business off the ground, and then it is on to studying for my securtiy license. I plan on studying for the CPA exam to obtain my CPA licenes. I must have continuing education in taxes in order to maintain my licenses with IRS and all states that require a tax return to be filed. Both my husband and I enjoy riding our motorcycles. Hopefully soon I will obtain my motorcycle license and buy the bike I would like to have. My husband and I enjoy traveling across country on our bikes, camping and enjoy all forms of life. We also purchased jetskies and a cabin crusier boat, we enjoy taking them out to the river or lakes. We have guardianship of our grandson who is will be 13 in a few months, until our daughter can get her life together, which doesn't seem it will be too soon. We have had him since he was five, and he is not in any hurry to go anywhere. Who knew that when I planned on having my children young so that I could enjoy life when I was still in my thirties, that I would be raising children still going into my fifties. Our daughter lives with us with her second son who will be three in August, and our son has three children and lives in Washington State. We are very proud of him, he is in the Navy and soon will be retiring......wow has life been such an adventure, I can't wait for the next fifty years.
