Darcy's Story

Life Wow! What can I say it feels like CHS was lifetimes ago. Life has been fun and well an adventure. I lived in San Francisco, Las Vegas, and now Seattle. Life hasn't been boring but maybe a little scarry at times. I rocked with Deftones in The Joint at the Hard Rock. I Died my hair blue for a Slip Knot concert. I loved a fireman, a wanna be Rocker Star and a Jock. I got 2 pierced **** and no not a black tatoo. I was the Queen of Polyesters and won a Madonna look a like contest. I have lived my life in a way I never dreamed. I am a die hard Cougar football fan. I attend the "Naked Parade" in the Fremont area every year. While I'm there I have to eat lunch at my favorite yummy thai food place Jai Thai. Who ever thought me simple insecure Darcy would fall inlove with sushi, thai food and rock concerts while watching naked people on bikes. Sometimes I wish I was like you all and went to college got a degree and made tons of $$. I'm not I'm just Darcy someone who RAN and promissed myself I'd Never go back even if it meant that I'd live out of my car at several truck stops. I did it my way and I know that I can survive anything on my OWN. I'm someone who is crazy passionate about things I never knew existed. I am a clever, beautiful woman who just wants to laugh and know I never settled even when life would have been easier. One day life will makes sence...I know a psychic at a street fair told me so. Honestly I love my life. I work too much and don't really play as much as I use to. I have a few close friends who I adore. I have experienced more than I could ever imagine and will continue to live my life one adventure at a ti...Expand for more
me. My next adventure is seeing the Red Elvises at Rusty's Surf Ranch on pier 66 in Santa Monica, CA. My greatest accomplishment to date is not what you might all say in your bios. My greatest accomplishment is being published in the first edition of the first ever magazine for birthmothers. I was asked to write an article in FM (First Mother) describing the positive on being a birth mother. My article "Celebrate the Journey" by Darcy Read describes how I its ok to celebrate and feel ok even when you ripped your own heart out. Healing for somethings takes a lifetime. For me my son now 13 is happy and healthy and totally loved. He loves to fly fish and hunt and he now has a pic of me. (Ps. one day I'll add here that I got a book published.) Maybe I'll hear from someone or maybe I've been forgotten. So hey Jayme K thank you for every thing! Everyone else well Maybe I'll run into you in Seattle. Life is what you make it and well I sure the F***k made mine ROCK! Wow...its been 2yrs year since the reunion. What a crazy time it was. It was great seeing everyone and some of you I still chat with. I think we are all on myspace so it makes it easy. I am not sure if we'll have a 15th year reunion or if I'll show up. I have had some major changes in life. I'm now engaged, have a lil boy, and hope that its time for happily ever after. I still love the Seattle area, and have built an amazing family of friends here. I love to say the all the crappy little jobs I have had gave me my "family". Oh I had my lil lad Caelan 5/24/08. He is everything and more than I ever wanted. I'm totally exhausted as a new mom, but he is worth it. :)
