Bryan's Story

Life Went to SWT for 5-1/2 years graduating with Computer Science degree in December '91. Married college girlfriend in May '92. We were blessed with 2 beautiful daughers: Alexandria in March '96, and Lauren on Christmas Day '98. We moved to San Antonio for my new job in July '96. Both the girls have been in soccer, dance classes, and the Church Kids Choir. Alex got her extreme love of horses from her Mom and wants to be an author, while Lauren is our little comedian and dancer. I have loved being a "Soccer-Dad", and drive my girls crazy with taking so many pictures at every event. As much as I love Austin, I love San Antonio just as much and consider it my second home. Unfortunately, after 14 years, got divorced in October '06. Am also very involved with volunteering for the Media Ministry at my church. I'd love to hear from any of the old friends from High School, college or my old jobs, so drop me a line and let me know how and what you're doing. BTW, check out the photos of me and my girls. +++ Workplace Diligent Consulting Inc. : '04-Present First gig was at the AFPC on RAFB rebuilding the DCR Tracker tool for the MilMod DB System -- total of 20 months. Worked with Jim Hunter, Stacy Porfilio, CJ Messick, Mark Miller, JJ Joseph, Sohail Isa, Charlie Ploetz, Mimi DeLosSantos, TC Martin, all the fine developers on the 3rd floor, Olga Vincent, Yasumi Reindeau, David Kay, Rene Cozad. 4 months at Security Hill: Worked with Drew Kueter, Trey Harden, Valerie Carrell, Dave McQueen, Sgt. Medrano, Mike Wells, Todd Baribault, Mr. Tom Sanchez, etc. Currently working at Lockheed-Martin's facility at 410/Harry Wurzbach. RS on RAFB. 2.5 years on EVAT Project for the AFIWC: Worked with William Bartell, Kevin Keathley, Angel Colon, Mia Veliz, Ben Mickens, Capt. Doug Derrick, Scott Cote. Radian Corp. / Radian International : '87-'96 This was my first "real" job that started my IT career. Hired initially as a Temp Data Entry Clerk by Bob Donaldson. 2 years later, I was teaching the other vets how to build applications with the Empress GUI builder software. Worked 20 hrs/week, and full-time during summers & holidays all through college. Worked on several major projects over the years, using either Empress or Oracle databases to support all the data management needs. Notables include: Coolwater, Holloman AFB, Hill AFB, Elmendorf AFB, Bergstrom AFB, Carswell AFB, EPRI, Travis AFB, Mountain Home AFB, etc. Remember working with Meg Underwood, Mike Nunke, Mike Faist, Bill Smith, Gloria Ritchie, David Coie, Jennifer Langrich, Bob Donaldson, Joe Kugler, Elizabeth Ahola, Phil Riba, Scott Evans, Tom Duong, Mark Majszkak, Trish Petitjean, David Riskind, and too many others to name them all. Remember attending many great "Weisers" and making some great friends. Learned so much from all the talented people I worked with. At Radian, the running joke was "as long as your work here, your middle name is 'Move'" because you moved offices at least once per year. World Bazaar : '86-'87 Temp job over the Christmas season; they hired a bunch of High School kids and me who had just graduated. This was a "Pier 1"-like store but eventually went out of business a few years later. They sold mostly baskets and wicker/rattan furniture. Remember selling sodas out of the little fridge with another kid and making extra money. Dated one of the High School girls for a while. Got let go in either late January or early February of '87. All in all, a fun job. Military Regretfully, when I was younger I didn't have the courage to join the military. Now that I'm older, I greatly appreciate all the brave men and women who have served or are serving in our military around the world, and frequently pray for their safety. BCA +++
