Who I hung out with at SJBA: Forgive me if I forget a few names. ... These are just off the top of my head and in no particular order:
Mike Root, Joanne Scimone, Kathy Fiello, Patti Keen, Sue Lewis, Paul Webster, Mark Goodson, Terri LaTray. I have no clue where my yearbook is, so that's all I can remember.
A Newlywed (Again..haha) since 8/12/00. Dan and I 'met' through the internet, and very quickly discovered we have a lot in common. We have a lot of differences too, the worst being our Coke/Pepsi fued. This is Dan's first (and only) marriage, and my second. Practice makes progress!!!
I have a 28 yr old son and 25 yr old daughter, both of them on their own YAYYYYYY.
We've also been blessed with our wonderful son Thomas, born in March 2003. Adoption was final in Sept 2005. Being a grandparent AND the parent at the same time isn't what we ever expected, but he is an absolute joy and blessing. We also have a beautiful granddaughter, Evelyn, born in April 2004, and a grandson, Logan, born March 2007.
Because of Thomas' special needs, we're very involved in a group to increase awareness and prevention of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders. He started Kindergarten in Sept 09.
We're living in GOD's country in very northern Wisconsin. Look at a map and find the most northern point of Wisconsin. We're close to that. We live in a large log home.

other church activities. We have 2 turtles, some "eat rocks" (Thomas's word for from blue cray-fish looking creatures of Dan's), and lots of fish, residing in a 350 gallon aquarium.
We have a dog named Niijii (pronounced Knee-Gee), which is Ojibway for "Friend."
We also have two cats named Lucky and Porche. It's interesting to see them and the dog, AND the hyper 6 year old interact. It isn't quiet.
I haven't been back to Syracuse since '91 for a family reunion. I keep saying that someday I will go back.
I spend a lot of time on myspace and more on Facebook. Look me up as Barbara Gadbois.

School
Last graduating class of St. Therese Elementary. Last graduating class of St. John the Baptist Academy. Hmmm...see a pattern here? I keep telling myself that someday I'll finish with a degree is something.
As of April 2009, I'm now officially a Certified FASD Educator. I took a 5 day class using the CDC curriculum, along with conducting 2 trainings, to become certified. I'm working on some local activities to get the word out!
Other Health related:
After leaving High School, my hearing deteriorated significantly in both ears. By 22, I had my first aid. By 30, I had one in each year. My hearing progressively got worse, leading to bi-lateral cochlear implants in 2004 and 2005. They have truly made the world of difference for me. As I say often "Thank God for Science!"
