Barbara's Story
Life
I've had wonderful opportunities that have allowed me to meet many interesting people and travel extensively. My years at SC PRT provided the opportunity to work closely with the Governor and First Lady and enjoyed many special assignments, including a visit at the White House (Nancy Reagan's lemonade wasn't that great!). I had the pleasure of traveling all over the state and visiting our great little towns; worked at lot in Charleston and HHI. As the Director of Marketing for SC Tourism, I traveled throughout the US promoting SC ... everyone wanted to know if SC was in Myrtle Beach! Planning the Governor's Conference on Tourism was always a fun event.

that it's been hard to slow down ... but I'm learning! And, my husband's children and grandchildren keep me hopping! My husband's youngest daughter had her first child two years ago, and I'm so proud to be her Grams. I'm now enjoying being a full-time grandmother, keeping her everyday while her parents work. Living in Arkansas is not the greatest adventure in the world, but Hot Springs Village is a beautiful area and I'd live anywhere my granddaughter lives :)
As my life's journey continues, home and family become even more important, and I visit with as many family members as possible every time I go to MB. Since Mom was diagnosed with Alzehimer's a few years ago, every trip home is precious.
