Bobbie Jo's Story

Life My hubby (Neil Ward) and I moved to New Hampshire in 2000. Our goal was for him to retire from dentistry here. We purchased a Victorian home built in 1901 and we are in the middle of restoring it. I guess God had other plans for us as we now own a dental practice in Auburn, Maine. We still own our home in NH but presently live in Maine most of the time. Our 4 children have blessed us with 8 grandchildren. Missy, 36, and her husband moved from Melbourne, Fl to Vermont to be closer to family. She will continue to be a "stay at home" mom who home-schooled her children, Christian, Cayden, Cortland, Dakota Rae and Preslee Ann until the move to New England. Rachel, 34, is married and lives in Dallas, Texas with her daughter, Sarah Beth and husband. They are both international bankers and the "Yuppies" of the group. James, 31, moved to NH two years ago. He has custody of his little girl, 4, Kaydence Grace who has a half-brother, Garrett. I am so blessed to be able to keep her while he works. Sally, 29, has been married 4 years and lives with her husband, Tyler Knepper in Tulsa OK. (If KNEPPER sounds familiar, his dad is Bob Knepper, former pitcher of the San Francisco Giants) Sally graduated from RHEMA and Tyler from Oral Roberts University. They have a special heart for Youth Ministry and are both motivational speakers. Borrowing a niece or nephew when she starts getting the urge for a baby is her...Expand for more
means of birth control. They want to spend more alone time together before the babies start coming which is ok by me. We have found a wonderful church home that we are grounded in. It just so happens that our daughter and our pastors attended the same Bible College in OK. Life is definatley different living in a small town in New England than in Jacksonville, Fl. It took me a while to get used to the -20 weather and lots and lots of snow, but now I wouldn't change it for anything. Life is wonderful and I have learned so much since moving away from Florida after 50 years. Small town living definately agrees with me. The scenery is beautiful and if you have never been here for the changing of the leaves, it is definately worth the trip. I lost my wonderful father 8 years ago at the age of 85 and miss him terribly. My mother is 93 now and lives in Jax with my sister. I visit her often as I can but for those of you who knew her, she hasn't changed a bit. Anyway, life has taught me to stay in touch with people in the past. I love the computer but there is just something special about a hand written letter that still delights me. I would love to catch up with anyone and everyone who has the time to email a short note. If anyone comes this way, there is always an extra bedroom available for free. Seems like we have seen our friends more here than we ever did in Florida. Thanks for listening and "God Bless!"
