DAWN's Story
Life
I am originally from Cincinnati, Ohio. I attended Clough Pike Elementary, in Clermont County Ohio from Kindergarten till 5th grade. My family moved to Greenwood, SC where I attended Hodges Elementary School for the remainder of 5th and all of 6th grade. We then moved again. We moved to Middletown, NY and I went to Circleville Middle School for 7th & 8th grades then attended Pine Bush High School till the end of my Junior year. My family then moved again the summer before my senir year to Jacksonville, FL. I spent my senior year at Nease High School in St. Augustine, FL. ouple of veterinary offices in the Jacksonville area and also worked at Mayo Clinic Jacksonville for nearly 3 years. During this time I applied to vet school. In Jan 2003, I began veterinary school at St. George's University in Grenada, West Indies. I spent 3 years in Grenada and then spent my 4th year in Baton Rouge, LA at Louisiana State University. In Jan. 2007, I officially became a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. I worked as an associate veterinarian in small animal private practice in Memphis, TN from 2007-2011. In 2011, I had the opportunity to move back to my home town of Cincinnati and pursue laboratory animal medicine practice. In 2014, I relocated for a new job opportunity at Temple University as an associate lab animal vet.
