Life John Dorfer & I were married 9/62 in Myrtle Beach, SC. We had 2 children: David (born 6/20/63)& Christine (born 2/28/65). John exited the Air Force in 9/65 & found a job in Raleigh, NC with IBM Corp. We were divorced in 3/78. I moved to Denver, CO in 8/79. I worked 2 jobs to support myself & go to school at the Univ. of Co. I married again in 12/81 & moved to Colorado Springs, Co. I commuted to Denver daily (75 miles 1 way)working & going to school. I left that husband in 12/86 & moved back to Raleigh, NC. I lived with my son while working part-time & establishing NC residency. I attended classes full-time in 1988 & FINALLY graduated in 12/88 with a BA in Pol Sci from NCSU. In 4/89 I joined Amer Airlines as an int'l reservation agent; flew to Paris (1st class!) with a group (they stayed 24 hours; I stayed for a week by myself-3 yrs of French came in handy!)
