Tom's Story
After high school I married Linda Solis and had 3 kids. Worked at Coca-Cola in Marion until 1986 when the plant was sold. Went to school, majored in Biology and Education. After a couple of relatively short term jobs I started teaching at a small, rural high school near Marion. Took a little over a year off classroom teaching in '04 and was the acting director of an environmental science education center in Wabash County. Went back to the classroom in '05 and hope to retire from the classroom again in a couple of years. I don't know what I will do then, but Wal-Mart greeter sounds somewhat attractive.
My kids are all grown (well, sort of) and out of the house (again, so...Expand for more
rt of) and have provided Linda and I with five beautiful grandchildren that we are fortunate enough to see frequently. We have two granddaughters who are in junior high (cousins, not twins) and an eleven year old grandson who so resembles his dad at that age that it is kind of creepy!
If I am not busy with my grandkids I enjoy goofing around on the computer (I am a self-professed GEEK), watching movies, and brewing (and of course drinking) my own craft beer. If I do say so myself I am becoming a skilled brewer. And no, I don't have any extra! But I am a teacher at heart, so if you want to learn how to brew your own beer just drop me a line.
