Rowena's Story
Life
Life: As most of you that know me can attest, I've lived here, there, and everywhere in the U.S, and done a lot of interesting things in my lifetime. Right now, I've kinda let life settle into a sometimes boring routine, but I needed to slow down a little for a little while and spend more time with friends and family. I still wish I hadn't lost track of as many old friends as I have. Maybe some of you will find me here. But the biggest news now of course is that I've married the most wonderful man in the world, and am incredibly happy. I'm now Mrs. Jonathan Orr. Who'd have possibly guessed that I'd find the man of my dreams hiding in a little town in TN? Certainly not me, and the fact that he isn't a hick or a redneck in a little town in TN was an even bigger surprise!
Looks: My hair is light brown. My eyes are still the blue/green that I've always been known for, but they've developed a habit of going a bit grey sometimes too.
School
School and I never got along all that well, but I met some of the best friends anyone could ever ask for there. I got a lot of great life experience and a lot of great frien...Expand for more
ds out of the deal, so that kinda makes up for it. :)
College
College turned out to be some of the best times of my life. I made a lot of good friends, had a lot of good times, and somehow managed to squeeze a few classes in along the way too. Too bad the classes weren't as great for me as the free time was. ;) I'm giving it a shot though. I'm back in class working on a Chemistry major/Biology minor to get into Pharmacy School.
Workplace
As in the rest of my life, I've tried to do a little bit of everything for work. I've had quite a few jobs doing anything and everything that seemed interesting. I've been a nursing assistant, worked in retail, worked for an amusement park in several different areas, worked in market research, and even did a little bit of modeling. Doesn't exactly lend itself to finding new jobs, but it keeps life interesting. I've traded in nomad worklife for being the Administrative Assistant to the Schools of Arts & Communications and Mathematical & Natural Sciences at Lambuth University. I work 40 hours a week and take classes at the same time. Maybe eventually I'll get to be a pharmacist.
