Doris's Story
Life
I came to the Washington, DC area in 1978 with a great roommate and some wonderful friends from college and from Westfield. We rented a house in Bethany, Md for a few summers and had a blast. Things change and people got married or moved away. In 1991, I met my future husband while engaged to someone else (obviously not my soul mate). Brad and I married in 1993 and had our wonderful son in 1995. I have been with IBM 27 years and am counting the days until I can retire (February 2009!!!). I have done many thing in my life and most of them I have no regrets about. I love my life and family and would not change a thing that has happened to me. I hope most of you can say the same.
College

974, not knowing what to expect at college. I had met a very good friend Stacey from Red Bank, NJ during church retreats in high school who also went to RMC. Out of our friendship grew a circle of friends that I grew and changed with in the four years at RMC. We laughed, cried and cheered for each other over those four years. We all majored in different areas, my major being Sociology, with a minor in Latin. I still get together with those special 12 friends once a year for a long weekend of talking, laughing, drinking and reminiscing. We just had our 25th year away at Kiawah Island where our friend Barbara and her husband have built a beautiful retirement home on one of the many golf courses. What a way to live!!!!
