Tammie's Story
Wow ! Where do I begin? Life has been good I never married, I went onto college, got my degree in Occupational Therapy, I took care of my grandmother and went to school til she passed away in 1986, ten months after I lost my youngest sister and niece to a drunk driver in 1985, Life as I knew it has forever changed.I started doing foster care for disabled and abused children in 1985. I floated/worked for a number of schools in the district. Bought my home in Maplewood in 1998,yes the drought of 88' and the flippen hottest in an eon. worked on and around the house in that heat and managed to work outside the home in my field in a variety of capacities as well as did in home consulting for a private practice for many years. 1993, adopted my first son in 1998, adopted my second son in 2000 and yes this was my last! Continued foster care and took a leave from my profession to care for my children as the boys were both sick babies. Devoted my life to giving my children every opportunity to reach their highest potential and have an enjoyable childhood. So thus we played ALOT and continue to PLAY ALOT :) We have lived in our home going on 22 years, we are bursting at the seams at times yet it is our home. All is well, kids are thriving, I am getting a little grey NOT ! they maybe aging but I will forever love rain puddles, snow days and the laughter of little children.
